About Me


I'm a 20-something year old dad with two handsome boys that I love to death. Everything I do, I do for them. Whilst being a dad has been the best experience I'll ever have, it has left me somewhat neglecting myself. I've used the excuse of being a dad to let myself go a little. Exercise has all but vanished from my life, I've been eating crap simply to appease some invisible need to be doing something when not staring at a glowing screen. It all has to stop, I need a reset.

I'm starting this blog as a way of keeping myself accountable. Without some pressure, I fear the challenges I have come to accept will fall by the wayside.

As of tomorrow I will be abiding by the following rules for the next 30 days and updating this blog everyday throughout this journey. By the end I will hopefully be a better me and therefore, a better dad.

  1. Wake up at 5am and go to sleep by 9pm
  2. Snacking on only fruit or nuts between meals
  3. One coffee a day
  4. Running for any distance daily
  5. Completing any form of body weight exercise daily
  6. Switching to a feature/dumb phone, precisely my Nokia 8210
  7. No social media (bane of existence)
  8. Replacing any TV (including YouTube) time with other activites
  9. Read a single page (or more) of a book daily
